my 'bator got turned to high a couple days before hatch day! ( Neighbor kid over and into things he shouldn't have been) Went in this morning to find one baby hatched and the temp over 110! After all this caring for, is there a chance the other 15 eggs may hatch? Now what do I do with one baby, other than spoil it? Much easier to care for several as my cage for the little ones is way to big for a while if I have only one.

There is still some hope for the remaining eggs. Once, I had a whole incubator full of chicken eggs go over 110, they all started hatching on day 19 I think. I didn't have as many hatch as I thought I would, but I did have some. I'd leave them a couple more days. What day are they on?

Tomorrow would be 21, the day I planned on watching for movement. I'll keep them under warmth for a few days, an I upped the humidity as it was dry, dry, dry in there.

i found that if my temp flux. is more than 5 degrees f either way the hatch is dramatically altered, valley quail in my opinion are the touchiest to hatch, your one saving grace is that they are at the end of the cycle so they may have been developed enought to withstand it, had it been week one or two though, i wouldnt even consider trying to bring them full term. good luck. also just because your temp read 110 it doesnt mean that the embryo actually got that hot, depending on how fast your reaction time was.

also humidity is a must with valleys, i think that you not keeping the humidity at the correct level is going to hurt your hatch more than the temp flux. i imagine you will see a lot of pips but not a lot hatch, the valleys are very weak so when it comes hatch time they need a soft shell, look out for shrink wrapping if they are pipped to long.

I'm not seeing any activity with the eggs and the one we have is weaker this morning and not wanting to eat or drink

Last years hatch was so awesome, 15 of 18 eggs and this one was going so well.

good luck for me that is a bit hot for two days but I hope the humid was ok that will gave you bit change because more your temp lesser your humid
