Babysat the cutest thing you ever saw-male Pekin duck bonded w/chick!

We babysat for these guys last week.
'Ping' as we called him (look up the old kid's book) was totally bonded w/his chicky. It was the cutest thing you ever saw. Doted on chicky, snorgled on him, groomed him, kept an eye on him. Chicky followed Ping all over their pen, like mommy. Did everything Ping did!
When Ping would go in his pool, Chicky would just stand at the side chirping ("What are you DOING?!"). Honest, I thought Chicky would dive in.

Isn't it so sweet.. I love the name Ping! Poor chick will have to get 'floaties' before she goes in with 'mom/dad'!

How sweet. At an adoptive anaimal shelter type place, where it was set up like a zoo that you could go to for free. Called Noahs Ark in GA. (It was really neat). There was a duck that fell in love with a pig and no kidding everywhere the pig went the duck was sure to follow. It was funny and it went on for a couple of years!
