Had to build the young boys a place to say. They are getting rough with the pullets and I just have too many of them. Side note: It is really hard to get rid of Cockerels. And before anyone says freezer camp, I have an 11 year old girl who has named every chicken we have and has made it very clear that we will not eat our chickens.
Anyway, here are a couple pics of what my son and I did this weekend.

I get it. I have a 10 year old. The only reason I got her approval to get rid of our chick that turned out to be a boy was that he attacked her enough times that she was afraid of him.

Hopefully your new set up works out well for you.

I have one boy living in the house. We have been on a waiting list for a rescue since June.. I've about given up on that. So he will remain in the house until spring when I can give him his own area outside. He has adapted well to living inside, but I'm sure he will be thrilled to be outside. It works for now. I figure if I do hatch any eggs, the boys can go with him. I need to have a place for them because I don't want to try to find them homes.
