After my small flock of four was taken out by a neighbor dog I decided to take a break. I've missed having my chickens and fresh eggs and have finally go a new group of chicks. They are pecking at my keyboard as I'm writing this, making it a little difficult, but very entertaining. I purchased feed store stock as I am not concerned with anything but size and egg quality. I got four gold sex links said to be a cross between Rhode Island Reds and Rhode Island Whites and 2 Americaunas (sp?) because I had one in my last group and absolutely loved her and her eggs. Anyway, getting back into the swing of things, so I figured I'd hop back on BYC and renew my knowledge base on raising chicks.
