I posted earlier this morning about our girl, Little. We think she has coccidiosis based on her bloody stool and change in demeanor this morning. We isolated her and gave her corid in the hopes that it will solve the problem. I've been watching her throughout the day (so thankful to be working from home) and I noticed after she was drinking that clear fluid came out of her beak. I felt her chest and it seems as though she also has sour crop (not too big, but definitely swollen and like a water balloon). Everything I've read about coccidiosis says isolate and give medicated water for treatment for a few days, but everything with sour crop says to take water and feed away for first 12 hours. I've tried massaging her crop, but am not sure what to do in terms of taking water & food away for a few hours to see if crop goes down with massages or keep her with her medicated water that I'm not sure she's even able to get down?? I'm freaking out and trying to do what I can to save her so if anyone could help it would mean so much to me and Little.

For background, she's an 18-ish weeks old Sapphire Gem, not laying yet, is on medicated feed -- not sure what else may be helpful??

Coccidiosis has priority over everything else since it's a killer. Besides, your pullet most likely drank too much water and is throwing it up. It happens all the time especially when it's hot outside.
You cant tell if a bird has sour crop by feeling it. You have to open the birds mouth and put your nose close to its open mouth and take a whiff. Then you'll know for sure if it's sour crop or not.
Her crop is going to be full from drinking the water. If she continually drinks water, pull the treated water away from her for a period of time, maybe an hour or so. Then provide her the treated water to drink in order to treat her and repeat this procedure as necessary.

Thank you so much! That's what I was thinking, but was concerned since she wasn't keeping it down.

Just want to make sure I'm doing everything I can to help her pull through.
