Back at it again

My concern would be your chickens somehow getting ahold of poison, either through eating a poisoned mouse or by the actual poison being carried into the coop area. Weirder things have happened.

Not using poisons
Or cats saying I dont like them was the wrong way to use it I just mean I've chicks that run outside with there mothers and if I get cats wild or not they will kill the chicks even with he mothers

chicks would be difficult for even a domestic cat to pass up. totally understandable.
would you consider a wee terrier again? or would the terrier go for the chicks as well?

rats can't resist coca-cola, it will make them basically explode because rats cant burp, essentially. its cruel. or rather i think its cruel.

baiting with greasy meat will attract that which you may not want to trap as well. could be more work than worthy.

rats and mice do love chicken feed...

Naw we had the our wee terrier and he was like a soul member of the family and when he past we couldnt get another one it just doesn't seem right we do have a little pomeranian not as well trained as the terrier but he can just about walk a meter hes that lazy so no help from him

I've thought about using the chicken Male but definitely going to try the coke if I can find some

I do have a rat trap which i will try and fine and set but
A snap trap?

Bait probably matters less than where trap is placed.
Along a wall where they usually travel is best, put bait end of trap against wall.
I used scratch grains, just a few pieces, with one piece jammed tight into trigger.

See if I set the traps but did t active them for say 1 week and they all got used to the trap being a feeding ground and then set it would that be more efficient in traping multiple instead of trapping 1 or 2 every now and again?
I'm actually on the look out for rat size traps as I ha e 2 mouse size snap traps and the oy reason I've 2 is that when a rat gets trapped in it it just goes missing at least that what I think or they get it and just move it or something bigger takes of with it
I'd also prob nail it to something as they would be out side so that I dont lose the trap and I know if I actually get something or not

And how big is that rat cause I cought rats before eand maybe its it the pic or that's a young rat but ours would be a lot bigger than that up to 3 quarter of a foot long
