After selling most of my hens last fall I found I did it for nothing. I caught up with the neighbor that has been having issues and it all turned out to be a misunderstanding.!?!
So I have 7 of my original 30, 17 - 8 week old's, 5 broilers that are going to the butcher block this weekend, 5 runner ducks and 2 Rouen's the kids picked out. DH was going to let me get some geese, but there weren't any at the supply store, Will have to wait until next week. Oh, I almost forgot, we also have 3 bronze and 4 white turkey's.
I am so happy, I am getting back into egg selling mode.
Another happy moment, my silkie is sitting on a nest of 5 eggs. I plan on some interesting babies, my roo is an Isa. Anyone ever see a Silkie Isa cross? & days in and they look perfect when candling!
