40 years ago, when I was in high school I hatched a few fertile eggs. I got hooked on chickens. I had to sell them when i went away to college. Now, I have the time and space for chickens again so now I have 15 3 week old pullets to lay eggs. BYC has helped me at every step from planning to predators.

Awesome, congrats on getting some more birds, it's funny I found this thread I'm in high school now and I'll have to sell mine when I leave for college next year, I'm going to Iowa State for a major in vet sciences, with a minor in zoology and a second minor in spanish. I have 3 RIR and 1 ameraucana hen and 1 ameraucana roo and 1 silver laced wyandotte chick and 1 leghorn chick and 1 bantam, with a bid on a pair of serama within the next week.
