I kept bantams and quails many years ago when I had a large plot. My space is now much reduced.
I currently have incubated three chicks. Silver Seebrights.
I enjoy having friendly birds and seeing how they develop and become part of the family.
I also have aviaries where I allow the inmates to breed when they feel the mood .
I am now retired and to some extent home home-bound but physically able-bodied.
The birds are a great relief from the tedium of looking after my wife.
I read the article about incubation - something I have not done before. I always let my birds do all the hard work. The article was very useful and informative and I suspect that my incubation would have not been so successful had I not read it.
