We've had no eggs since mid october, had light come on for a week and a half now from 5:30 am till 8:30pm put half cup of black pepper corn in with pellets this morning and just checked boxes and 2 BIG brown eggs, hopefully they keep coming.

IMO the light (as you have found) takes about 2 wks. and the pepper has no effect.
