According to that, Windy, the eggs are not self heating. The mother and father are supposed to keep the eggs buried in a fire. Higher temps produce males, lower produce females.

Tho the parents keep their draclings safe in a nice hot firepit under their scaly vents, when we puny humans incubate we have to remember to keep the draclings between 800 and 1000 degrees (fahrenheit) for the first three months and seven days.

After that, its 700-800, and a more humid, swampy environment, ideally, as you say, with swirling sulfur gases to make up for any maternal sulfur deficiencies. Then there's the spare room for the 12x8 incubator and the seven electrical sockets.

Still, I think its sounds like a gas. Who's in with me?

That's why dragons collect treasure... The larger the pile of gold, the more heat it will hold, the longer they can leave the nest to go hunting.

You've got to read Terry Pratchett's Discworld books. Lady Sybil Ramkin raises pet swamp dragons and is quite the authority. There's a good reference at: http://wiki.lspace.org/wiki/Swamp_dragon All in all, sounds a lot like us and our chickens. (Well, except for the bit about dragons getting indigestion and blowing up!)
