Back yard rabbit group anyone?

wow he is cute. Im thinking in a year or 2 adding Rexs to my rabbitry. Right know i want to concentrate on my new zealand whites. Im hoping for 3 litters in 2 weeks, ive got 2 new mamas that i hope do good and give me a nice litter. Well you may run into fighting issues if you get another male, and babies if you get a female. So are you willing to spay a female to be a companion?

mm.. well wouldn't it be best to spray the male its not as hard for the body as it it for a female
my boy is 5 month its the best time to neuter ive been told

she told me to chop his manly part she charge 140$
thats insane.... 140$ to neuter and the rabbit costed 20$
im gonna call the other clinic thats robery

That is about right for a rabbit neuter they are very limited on the type of anesthesia that they use (isoflorane). I would be weary of vets that charge less due to lack of knowledge on rabbits. We heard and saw horror stories from other clinics that used cheap drugs to neuter not knowing it would kill the rabbit. Just do research and make sure they are reputable not just cheap.

now for the no mane on ears and chest, some losr their manes after they molt and never get it back, some do get the mane and skirt back .
Single mane lion heads have the tendency to lose the mane and skirt and not get it back, double mane will most times get the mane and skirt back and teddy bear( triple mane and rather hard to handle wool) hardly ever lose the mane and skirt.
