So I have noticed over the past couple of days i’ve noticed one of my Hans, Ruby, turning her head to the left and walking backwards. Is this something that’s neurological, or is this something that’s natural? I’ll try to catch a video of it but slightly unnatural for me to see. Like she’ll be walking forwards then all of a sudden stop turn your head to the left and take 4-5 steps backwards with her head to the left still looking out that one eye.

I had a hen who was a moon walker. It happened most often during high stress times: during cold weather, especially first thing in the morning, when she was molting...

Yes, it is neurological, and often a good dose of vitamins will get her headed in the right direction again. I would give my moon walker a dose of PND and she'd be fine for a while. She was an excellent layer, which most likely added to her vitamin depletion.

PND?

It’s 78° usually first thing out of cool the last 2-3 days. Never in the evening. Or afternoon.
I pictured a chicken moon walking like Michael Jackson.
Totally like MJ, she will walk forward then stop look to the left take 3-4 steps backwards and to the left. Then walk forwards. Butt completely in the air! Then she is fine for about 5-10 minutes and does it again.

Makes since she has just started laying her first egg, 2-3 weeks ago.
You need vitamin E and selenium @Dr.GarryTTucker
Would sunflower seeds be great along with some molasses water? Or would it be better to just get the nutridrentch, tractor supply?, and feed it to the whole flock?
