Backyard Brahmas!!

@bumpercarr - I'm afraid I didn't realize before now that you have a "Big Boy" also. I called my guy that more for lack of a name but it stuck, lol. Just so you know I wasn't high jacking your name.

I knew you weren't, LOL! I suspect that there are hundreds of folks calling their Brahma cocks Big Boy, after all, that is what they are!

My kiddos this evening.. Definitely some differences in feathering. For those who enjoy a good game of, "let's guess the sex too early", lol:

I think #2 and the last one are definitely pullets. #4 & 5 look like cockerels to me. The other two I'm not sure about. Let me know how I did on the guessing when you know for sure!

All the talk of miss use of the term "Pyle" I have lemon Pyle brahma they are dominant white, I've never had a blue chick putting one up with a dark patterned, I was only stating the breed that I have, we do use the term splash over in the uk so there's no confusion there.

That's encouraging. What pattern are your birds ?

So what are the common term used to describe the light colored chicks from breeding two blue partridge, or two blue buff columbians, over there ?
