Backyard Brahmas!!

Pics

bare back

the one that that's back is feathered

I had to use google chrome to get my pics to load- there are more in my albums. Tell me what you think! They are 7-8 weeks.

Hmm, I was afraid of that! Well, I hope the rest of them turn out to be pullets....I dont want to get rid of any of them! Here is a pic of "him" when he was about 3.5 weeks.
way less feathered than the one in front of him. Thanks for your reply

Maybe try the other Brahma thread. There are a lot of people who are preserving the breed and also showing. They will know if those are pure or not. Sometimes the criticism is harsh so be prepared but, they do know what they are talking about. Anything I have would just be a guess.

I hadn't quite wanted to "brave" that thread yet. I know how tough showing is after showing dogs for many years. Heading over there now...........

I don't think they are mixes. They all look like darks to me. I don't think the variation really means anything, it's just a different shade - maybe different parents.

Some of my experiments - growing up!

Blue splash on left, solid white on right.

Bert and Ernie, not sure what color to call them, but they are beautiful!

Elmo, blue - he's a little lap chicken!

This one is absolutely stunning, but I can't get a good picture of her. She is partridge colored but with a solid black head. I haven't come up with the perfect name for her, either.
