Backyard Brahmas!!

Pics
We have what we think might be a Dark Brahma roo, but he looks so much like the Silver Penciled Rocks we have, I can't be sure. Is there some distinction that you could describe for me to be able to tell the difference? Are there other breeds that also could be options that are Dark Brahma look-alikes? We are obviously very new to this so any help you can offer is greatly appreciated.

Color should be the same. Rock should have a single comb and clean legs. Brahmas should have a pea comb and feathered legs. Body type should vary considerably also.

Thanks for the warm welcome - I will definitely get some close up shots and post them. Based on the previous answers, I was able to confirm tonight that I have one dark brahma and two silver penciled rocks. All three roos. The one that has a hint of feathering on his legs but nowhere near the amount any of our others is the one I need to get a better shot of him so you can all see what I mean.

BTW, CarolinaHen is your avatar photo a Golden Polish roo? We have one that looks much like that. Gorgeous bird!

Thanks to all of you for the warm welcome and all of the help! Based on your comments, I believe that we have one Dark Brahma (top photo), two Silver Penciled Rocks (middle photo) and that my mystery bird (third photo) is a Silver Laced Wyandotte. Would love to hear your opinions.

The photo above is what I believe to be a Dark Brahma standing next to a Silver Penciled Rock.

This is what I believe to be one of two Silver Penciled Rocks.

This bottom photo is one that I believe to be a Silver Laced Wyandotte...except his legs are neither feathered nor clean. You can see in the photo that he has just a hint of feathering which stumps me...

Thanks again for all of the guidance!

Single comb, feathers on the legs- this is too much to consider this bird Wyandotte. Depends where you get it from, but I think that is bad quality Silver Laced Cochin or mix.

Thanks for the response. If he were a mix it would be very surprising (and disappointing)! These all came from murray mcmurray as part of there rarest of the rare collection and were (as I understood) all purebred with no cross. And his body shape is much different than the two silver laced Cochins of same age. Even as a chick he was similar to them but not the same by any means...

Single combs and leg feather stubs pop up in SLW, especially single comb. Could be the influence of the Cochin in its development. You may have just gotten one with both faults. It otherwise looks more Wyandotte than Cochin to me. Tough call at this point.
