I think it's just young.
I'm thinking it may be a young single comb.
Did this breeder also have Buffs ? Some of them look a lot like what you get when you cross a Columbian (buff or light) to penciled (dark or partridge).

Beautiful! Lol, I love her fluffy chicken butt!
I saw today that I had put a word that isn't even dirty in a private message and the site changed it to *******. I thought that was interesting. If I paid good money for partridge, this site won't print what I would call that pattern.
Ok! Thanks so much. Yes my gold pullets are the only ones it seem to end up feeling best about, but when I zoom in on pics of others, sometimes I get confused on how many repeated patterns should be on each feather and I doubt myself- LOL! So you made me feel better there. I have the other gold that's older and really filling out, and also have a gold pullet coming up with my broody that should be pretty.1st Pullet, correct coloring and pattern, 2nd & 3rd not, 1st cockerel not, 2nd cockerel probably correct but I need to see more of him to be sure. Oh, and he is a he, not a she unless it isn't partridge (gold) brahma. I love the 2nd and 3rd pullet's pattern though....just not sure what I'd call them.
it's not single.. Just a bit funny right now.. It took a bit to start, which was why I thought pullet for so long, and now it's a bit knobby at the top.@carcar80 does that last bird have a single comb?
if you mean the middle pics of the funny-laced blue one, those are pullets. But I can't wait either!! And see that's the thing? These weren't bought eggs.. These are grown birds I own! That's why the confusion.Your partridge pullet is lovely, and the blue boys are interesting, too. Look forward to seeing pics of them when they´re older. The partridge cockerel´s comb looks a bit odd in the pic, though. Where people mess about with the colours to get what they´re after, we can get some strange old colours come out in the chicks from the bought eggs. They probably did come from partridge parents of a sort, though.

Lovely. Well I think it's LF brahma hen.. and as far as the comb is concerned, looks okay to me but we all will be needing a clear picture of her comb to be sure.
