My Brahmas never had any trouble in the heat or the cold. I think because they are so loosely feathered, they "shed" heat better than a more tightly feathered bird. My Brahmas were much better off than my Delawares in the hottest part of the summer.

I see you live in a wooded area. Unless you have a guardian dog out there, you may have issues with predators tearing through that chicken wire. ANYTHING can penetrate chicken wire and kill your beautiful birds. You must have welded wire or other strong wire, never build with chicken wire. 2x4 welded wire wrapped in hardware cloth is the best way to go, really, with an anti-dig apron. Just don't want you to have one of "those" horrible days we see so much here on BYC.
