Backyard Chickens

Hello there and welcome to BYC!

It is never good to drag in chicken poop into the house as there is always possibilities of worms and bacteria's that are in chicken poop. You might keep your birds in a run or a fenced off area that you only wear specific shoes into. This is how I do it. My birds are allowed to free range in a fenced off area and of course they have their run. I have a certain pair of shoes that I wear into these areas not only to keep my feet clean to enter my house but bio security reasons that I am not tracking other "things" into their area from wild birds and other poultry I keep.

Good luck with your flock and welcome to ours!

I'm glad you joined the BYC flock.

You've received some good advice from Two Crows. I would definitely be concerned about dragging in chicken manure, as it can carry disease.
