We've had two chickens in our Chicago back yard for about a year now. we've been loving the fresh eggs and fun they provide nearly every day. I like new challenges and chickens definitely can provide those. DIY crafting, gardening, drawing and sculpting are a few of my hobbies

Welcome to Backyard Chickens. I lived in Chicago(different areas) for the first 20 some years of my life. Never knew chickens were allowed. Although at that time my parents certainly would not have been thinking of having any. Houses were close together and the neighbors were not even happy if someone had a dog.

I believe they are a white leghorn and a Rhode island red, but I don't know for sure.
