Trigger warning: pictures of an injured duck attached.
So over labor day weekend our Barred Rock roosters decided to suddenly attack our flock. They killed 2 ducks and a bantam hen. 1 of our ducks isn't dead but it has obvious neck injuries. It won't support it's head at all and swims in circles in the tub when we bathe it.
We're not sure if it's neck is broken or if it's just sort of limp necked due to the injuries.
We had 3 roosters that we had to get rid of because after we found the first bodies, we planned to use a live trap and game camera to see what attacked but then we checked the flock later that night and the rest were dead except our newest additions that were separate.
The injured duck is still alive, we've been feeding it liquid food and electrolytes, giving it aspirin. We just are sure if we're extending it's suffering or if it'll actually get better. Attached some pictures.
