Ok, I'm in city limits and can only have hens, however when I ordered pullets only I still got a 50/50 split (I left the yellow peanuts for the person I split the order with, and picked out RIR and BR's, those were all supposed to be sexed female).

I now have 1 BR roo and RIR/BR hens, if I incubate the eggs the RIR/BR cross should be sex linked, but what colors would the girls be? (I'd move the BR girl into a seperate pen for a few days of laying, to be sure they were crossed eggs).

I think black sex links are all black and the difference between the boys and the girls is that one of the sexes ( I don't remember which one, dangit!) hatches with a white spot on the head.

I know reversed, BRhen and RIR roo is how 1 group of sexlinks are made.

The males will be sent to my grandparents farm, where thier maleness is allowed.
