my much loved hen laid a broad bean size lash egg and sent it off to a poultry vet said it was bacterial infection and doing sensitivity test. Is it possible for her to recover. She is on Spark for birds with stress and Entrodex probiotic, that certainly does increase her appetite. Thanks. Anyone had similar experience

Salpingitis (which is the infection that causes lash eggs) can be treated if caught early enough. Unfortunately it is often not diagnosed until the infection is pretty advanced and it does not respond well to treatment then. If the sensitivity test shows that it responds to an antibiotic, then I would treat with what your vet recommends and hope for the best. It's certainly worth the try. My experience with salpingitis has been that I have been able to keep them comfortable for a time, but ultimately they succumb. They are really good at hiding their illness for quite a while. Here are a couple of links with more information on salpingitis: http://www.the-chicken-chick.com/2014/12/salpingitis-lash-eggs-in-backyard.html

I hope you have a better outcome.
