bad batch of cornish cross, ever had this happen? pics on post #12

ok here are a few pics, i took a ton trying to get them side by side to my layer hens

the red bird on the left is a production red the bird on the immediate right is supposedly a cornish X

They are mixed in with your layers? So is everyone getting this feed? If so, that probably is one of the problems. Secondly they do look like they are all females which is odd too... at least of the ones that you took pics of.

I would separate them and feed them a 20% grower....
 
we have always free ranged our cornishes ( this is the 3 time doing it) and never had a problem before?

there is more than enough space at the feeders. we have 3 feeders in the coop and 4 out side.

there is actually enough room at the feeders for another 20-30 birds with out adding another feeder.

i dont keep them in a pen by them selves because they seem to just sit and eat... and never move around

IDK how old your cronish x are but they dont look like cornish Xs to me. My first batch was huge also and my second batch was quite a bit smaller.

they are LH roo/ silkie hen LOL and they are funny looking!! ill have to get a picture of them later today!
