bad batch of cornish cross, ever had this happen? pics on post #12

The feed store won't tell you where they came from? I think I'd be inclined to load a few of them up in a crate, cart it into the store, plop it on the counter and ask them what they expect people who were supposed to be getting cornish x birds to do with those things.

Those white birds look like utility (hatchery) white rocks to me. The growth rate you rate supports this thought as well.

They look nothing like the cornish x that I've had. They don't have the really heavy legs or the blocky head. They look a lot like what I grew last year from Privett called "slow growers". Took forever to grow them out...4 months I think...NEVER again. If I wanted to go that route I'd be doing freedom rangers.

The first pic looks like a cornish x, however the last one does not. It's feet are very boney and face is very small.... if they are in fact cornish x's they are a poor example. It's a shame the feed store will not at least tell you where they got them from.

well, we are 3/4 the way done. so far most of the weights are under 5lbs with maybe 2 that were around 5 and a half.

im definatly not getting cornishes from them again! i cannot take the risk to feed birds for so long and not get much meat!

sooo any suggestions on where to buy meaties from??

I would agree with those that said you were sold Plymouth Rocks and would let the seller know I was unhappy . Schlects is where I purchased my CX . I'm happy with the CX and you can't beat the price . Here's an early pic with the same age white laced red Cornish .
