Is there such a thing as a bad batch of fertial eggs? The back story is that I got 12 eggs from around the way. ( super nice girl ) 3 were not fertile, only 2 hatched and died shortly after..... They wouldn't eat or drink on there own, their feet were curled and ones leg wasn't working. I have gotten another batch from a different gal, also super nice! 2 were clear when I candled them ( so not fertile?). 6 hatched and are doing great! Any ideas?

It could be other things. Age of breeders (too young or too old), current or past disease, etc..
There are special breeder rations. For the month prior to collecting eggs for hatching, it helps to pay special attention to their nutrition.

I had NO IDEA how indepth this was. I feel way more confident buying fertile eggs now that I have informative questions to ask.... Great links!!
