Bad Bumble

Update: I don’t think it’s getting better... there’s a “crack”, as I can best describe it, in her foot now.View attachment 1464921 View attachment 1464924 View attachment 1464925What do I do? I got a whole bunch more puss out. Starting to get worried...:(:fl
Usually after the kernal has been removed it begins to heal. This seems as if there's still a kernal in there causing the infection to continue to grow and spread. You may have to go back in and dig around to see if there's anything else that needs to come out. This sounds terrible but it's last resort. Wash her foot with antibacterial soap and warm water before you begin. dry it and pour alcohol or betadine on her foot so the work area is sterile. Squeeze her foot and remove anything that leaks out. The kernal may be deep or you may have only removed a portion of it previously. Once there kernal is out pour more alcohol onto the site. Dry it and wrap it. Everyday it will need to be cleaned and wrapped . I always would wash my roosters foot with the soap, alcohol, dry it and pack on the ointment and wrap it. His healed nicely I can't even tell which toe he had the bumble in.

Also forgot to mention she may need a round of antibiotics by the look of this to aide in the healing. Keep her hydrated and nourished. Removal of the kernal and keeping it clean is key to successfull healing.
