Bad Chicken :(

Well, I am guessing you are joking about the racket and bat... That would be even worse... My kids DO NO HANDLE any chickens.

Hope the little guy isn't scarred for life over one chicken. I hope he's ok. Poor kiddo.

I am kidding. I would never let a kid hit an animal. He will be OK, we are just telling the kids that they are not allowed to hold them anymore. They can reach out and pet them if the chicken wants to cooperate, but no more holding them. The proximity of a kids' arms to face is just too close...even lap to face is close on a 2y/o.

Thanks for everyone's responses, this has been a lesson learned. I feel awful that it happened and we are taking appropriate precautions now. I'm also not letting the girls fly up onto me anymore...they need to know who's boss.

The raquet and bat were an attemt to bring a little humor to a bad situation' sometimes it helps. I have a hard time with the chickens pecking each other let alone a child.
