We only have one that bad. If I don't put their plates on the floor quickly enough, Buttercup will hop of the roost onto my arm to get it. Then she steps in the plate of oatmeal and it all falls to the floor!
they are just toooo funny. mine will coming running from all directions just to see what I have brought out for them this time! And don't have anything in your hands that you WANT to eat, forget it, its theirs!
Their lack of manners is half the fun! I took my lunch (sandwhich, chips, and juice) up to the coop once and offered the birds some of my sandwhich. They ended up eating it all. Then they went for the chips, which I let them eat, thinking to myself "at least I still have the juice." One of the pullets walked up, stuck her beak in my apple juice, and started drinking it. Buggers...
I had my Sebright Pippa inside one day when my mom dropped by with a chocolate cream pie.
I was holding Pippa and talking to my mom, the pie was on the counter.
My mom said, "Oh, Pippa's so cute! Can I try holding her?"
So I tried to pass Pippa over to my mom. Pippa freaked out and ended up sitting in the center of the pie with whipped cream everywhere.
