Bad date...lol

It always seems to work out that way, doesn't it? Lol. That's where Karma better kick in high gear!
I went fishing the other day and all I caught was a whopping 3" inch Blue Gill! I think my bobber was bigger than that fish! Not that I should complain.
When I said, please Lord let me catch at least one.... that wasn't quite what I envisioned :/. Will be more specific next time....
Still had a blast though, can't tell a lie about that. I am a 'cheap fishing date', it doesn't take much to make me happy. Thank goodness.
Please come back with the 'Tale of a Whale' story so I can keep hope alive!
Will look forward to it.
Take care.

I haven't caught anything huge this year. Only a couple of 11 inch blue gills, one 10 inch shell cracker, five pound channel cat, and twelve pound carp. Everything else has been small. Last year by this time I already had several 10 pound plus catfish under my belt.

Last time I caught anything 'large' it was a large mouth bass, probably 4-6 #'s, and the hilarious part was is that I caught it completely by mistake when I got 'mad' thinking I snagged on a tree limb! That'll teach me!
I am gonna be like you when I figure out what the heck I am doing (4 decades later;).
Dag, now I wanna go fishing! Go figure....

Biggest bass I ever got was a 12 pound large mouth in a farm pond on a 14 foot crappie rod. I got a blue gill and picked it up. While it hung over the water the bass jumped up ate swallowed it whole. Managed to land it and was done for the day. Lol

The trip went well. We went fishing on Erie, but all I caught were drum, six of them. Biggest was only five pounds. My wife caught a couple small drum and a two pound catfish.
We got back from there, and then spent this past weekend at my families cabin in Kentucky for me to squirrel hunt.
