Bad dicease, need more info

In May my flock got Infectious Laryngotracheitis. Does anyone know if the birds carry this virus for life or does the virus leave?

I don't have an answer to your question, but, I wanted to know what were their symptoms? I have several of my hens that sound hoarse, and kinda shake their heads. No discharge from nostrils. I am giving them Duramycin. It has been so hot, I don't know if they got overheated, they have a nice big shady pen and enclosed coop. Thanks

viruses never leave a host. weather mammal, bird, fish, amphibian, or fish. this means they will always be carriers, but on the plus side, they will never be infected by the same strain again.
