Sweet Home Alabama!!
Is anyone having problems with Diamond Dog food?
I just opended a new bag and have two dogs refusing to eat it one dog throwing up and a cross beak 3 yo hen that only gets hand fed dog food that is going through some sort of neurological issues.
She cannot stand alone but for a second and then falls backwards and lays stuck upside down.

It has to be the dog food none of the other birds are sick but the dogs are.

Anyone else use Diamond Hi Performance?

Wow, I dont use it....but I would take them off of it..and give rice and chicken for a few days, to settle thier tummies. Maybe talk to a vet...see if they can check it for you. DEFINATELY, call the manufacturer!!!
I hope they all recover quickly.

I would DEFINITELY contact Diamond ASAP, as well as your vet! Diamond was one of the first brands several years ago to go through a huge recall.....their food killed quite a few dogs from mycoplasmosis (fungal toxins in the grains used in the food...I think this was their problem...may have been a different toxin, but I'm pretty sure) up and down the east coast. They were the first major recall I recall ever hearing about....I had never heard of the brand at the time...but have remembered the name ever since.

I was using Diamond dog food for my highly active pup and my vet suggested using pedigree, purina or puppy chow. Personally I listen to my vet. And yes they had they big recall. I will defintely be switching! Sorry to hear about that I have not heard of anybody else having the problem. i certainly would not feed them any more of it!

Any dog food can go off as it's meat based. I agree with contacting Diamond, and your vet (bad food can cause liver damage). Go get another food for sure. I hope it works out for you.

Of course I figure this out on a holiday so I have to wait until tomorrow.
Our Dachshund is now broken out in a massive rash down her chest and itching like crazy.
Too much to be coincidental for 4 normally well dogs and a chicken to be reactive today. The chicken (Madison) is the worse off being the smallest, she is sitting quietly watching the rained out race with us in a dish tub. She just flips and rolls when we get her up. I am hoping she clears with no lasting damage. We have been hand feeding this bird for 3 years now. Would be ashamed to lose her to bad dog food.
I am watching my whole flock for any others in case I am wrong. I have over 300 birds! Do you know how sick this would make me to lose my flock!
