I feel like such a bad duck mommy. My 15 little duckling babies are upset tonight because 7 of them are inside and 8 just graduated to the duck house.

Everyone was peeping and quacking for the others. But the 7 inside just aren’t as feathered as the other 8 which are a week and a half older. The sad little duckling faces kill me but not as much as the calling quack as I took the little ones in the house.

Awww, that is sad. Nothing like them pulling at your heart strings. I had ducks way back when I was a kid. Rescued a bunch that was in an oil spill in a creek they used. No forum or anything in those days. So my knowledge of them is very limited, but you are doing what's best for them, so you can't be too bad a duck mom. They just don't know it yet. When the others get to go out, they will catch on. Or maybe be mad that you kept them from the duck house lol

Look at this sad billed face

All the ducklings inside are staying squished together now.

I will be taking them outside tomorrow again. So I am sure they will be very happy tomorrow morning.

The big duckling reunion wasn’t a huge affair. I expected more peeping and quacking but it was a calm ordeal. The getting them to the pen was louder but as soon as they were together they calmed down and settled.

I did how ever find one of my crosses might have the start of angel wing. I am not sure though because the wing feathers seem like they grew in over night.

Best pictures I could get. Angel wing?

I’ve never dealt with Angel wing but I thought the feathers stick straight out when they do have it. This just looks like new feathers coming in to me. Hopefully someone with AW experience will reply.
