Lol! I’m jealous of all the people who have ducks that love the camera! Mine are afraid of it! XD

at the moment I'm searching for Welsh Harlequins too - i just love them! I can't find any ducklings now so I will have to patiently wait until Spring - UGH! LOL In my perfect world, come Spring, I will have an Ancona, WH, and it's between Buff and Cayuga. Any more than that and my husband will move me to the duck house ;)

Thanks for starting a convo with me! For my own personal reasons I don't like doing conversations with people. So I will just help you out here. So for the info you want: once you get the scab off just checking there feet regular will let you know if you need to start treatment again. Don't be scared cuz you are going to do great. Thank you so much for asking me for advice. Thanks!

OH another product you may want to consider is API Pond Zyme - Amazon sells it. It's beneficial bacteria that helps dissolve the sludge that may accumulate at the bottom from leaves, dead algae and poop. The barley in it is supposed to help keep the algae growth down, but I think some algae is just going to happen when you have ducks. All natural so safe for duckies.
Anyway - just thought I'd share!

Cooool, how much and how often do you apply it?

In the Spring mostly to get the good bacteria started - the directions say to do it more often than I do lol - they are trying to sell product and I just apply it when my string algae on the sides of the pond get long. I do about 20 scoops in the Spring and then 10 scoops when I reapply. One container usually lasts all summer. I don't think it's needed in the winter unless you heat your pond (I don't). :)
