You poor thing! I wonder if the smell is just stuck in your nose. It reminds me of being pregnant and going to the chiropractor's office. It smelled funny, but I couldn't pinpoint why. The chiropractor came in, and a big whiff of skunk came with her. Her dog got skunked, and somehow they all reeked like skunk even though they weren't near the dog. Luckily I wasn't pukey yet.

Maybe some Vicks Vapo Rub under your nose might help?

Worst smell ever - for sure. Had one explode in my hand (luckily outside). It was instant gag. I will remember that smell the rest of my life. That was over a year ago - I still think the smell is stuck in my nostrils sometimes. I'm so sorry that it happened to you! Far worse than a skunk!

now i'm scared. first time to hatch. i've got 59 quail eggs in my DIY incubator. 9 hatched. day 18 today. when do i give up?
i'm thinking of carrying my incubator ever so carefully, open and toss contents - egg tray and unhatched eggs altogether.
hope nothing explodes inside the incubator as someone said the stench stays in ths styrofoam.
i got an exploding saga long time ago when i was a small kid. rotten eggs burst when they're handled roughly right?
if u almost don't move them, they will not explode. right?
