Bad Egg?

I have one 7-day old egg that one of my hens has been sitting on. It is very porous but I thought I saw the spider veins on day 3 or 4. It is hard to see anything though due to the porousness of the egg.

If this egg is bad, how long does it usually take before the egg weeps or smells bad?

I am trying not to candle too much for fear of ruining the embryo's chances...if there actually is an embryo. :/

We just candled the egg (Day 8) and we swear we saw the embryo wiggling. =D

It is still so hard to see, even with a bright and strong flashlight...in the pitch black dark. =(
