bad eye

No foul odor usually means it's not coryza. If it hasnt spread to other birds and there isnt other symptoms showing in this bird and other birds; such as head shaking, bubbly eyes, wheezing, sneezing, rales, runny nostrils....and his other eye is NOT swollen and neither eye has bubbles in it...it's not MG. Also if this were a respiratory disease, 2 weeks wouldve been plenty of time for your other birds to get infected and show symptoms.
If it's none of the above what I mentioned, then it could be that he may have got pecked real hard on the lower part of his eye to cause the severe swelling.

thank you dawg. an injury we can live with. thats good.

hopefully the swelling will go down and the head shaking will stop. i figured it might be pain or pressure causing that.

It could mean there's underlying infection due to the hard peck or a watery liquid similar to water on the knee. Since you aspirated it with a large needle and nothing came out, it has to be an infection and not like water on the knee. There are one or two things you can do; give him an antibiotic such as baytril, amoxcillin or augmentin. Your other option is to perform surgery and remove the infection. There's also the possibility he could lose the eye from surgery.
There is one more thing you could try that's the least invasive and it's a longshot. It's possible he may have some type of debris in the eye. Liberally flush his eye with saline solution, then put neosporin in the eye for several days and see if there's improvement. You could also start him on one of the antibiotics I mentioned. If they are pills, crush one pill into powder. Then use 1/4 of the powder and mix it with a tablespoon of water. Then use an eyedropper to give it to him orally, be careful not to aspirate him. Do this twice a day for 5 days.

i can do that, i have the antibiotics. saline water for flush. i will try that first and if nothing i may make a tiny incision under the eye and perhaps i can see if it is bone?

I would do surgery as an absolute last resort. It may make things worse. I forgot to mention that metacam might work to get the swelling down as well...same dosage as the others.
Here's a link from one of Casportpony's posts, you might want to take a look:

I recommend the saline solution, neosporin/antibiotic treatment.

i bet that is exactly what it is from being sick before. its trapped and hardened. thats gotta be it.

This is about pea fowl, but it seems relevant:

http://www.hopkinslivestock.com/Swelling of the Eye Sinuses.htm

Especially here:

Two different medicines were given and neither medication reduced the swelling. A week had passed for the first peacock and his eye sinus was now swollen to about half the size of a ping-pong ball. The peacock also would cough and shake his head to try to get rid of excess mucous in his beak and throat.

If the eye sinuses are severely swollen and have been for several days, you may have to have a vet lance the swollen area once the swelling goes down because the fluid has hardened and will not go down completely to normal size.
