bad leg/ frozen

Sorry part got cut off of note. The foot got caught under edge of coop and froze to the ground. I used warm water to get unstuck, she at first had the whole leg just stuck out to the side. The good news is she now is standing on the leg, but with the toes all curled up, limps....but eats like a horse and drinks well....she is currently in a large plastic tub in a spare bathroom. Nothing is black...she even layed an egg! Should I break the blisters or leave intact. mary

leave them intact. intact skin will keep bacteria out better and for longer than any dressing you could put on there, giving the tissue underneath a chance to start healing before the old blister skin breaks and falls off.

Best of luck. If it is dead, it will turn black in a few days and eventually fall off. Keep her clean, keep her inside, and as long as eating and drinking are abound, she should recover.

the toes are curled most likely from lack of blood, after being frost bitten! I suggest sneaking some Cayenne into some food or water and hopefully get it flowing before it does possibly get black and fall off!! I hope she feels better.
