Hello everyone, any advice would be greatly appreciated.
I discovered my 5mo old brahma this am with an awful limp. She was doing her best to keep up with the other girls, but hobbling along and taking lots of rest stops. She will put some weight on the injured leg but it easily slips out straight in front on her. I examined her and found no major reaction spots, obvious breaks, heat, or swelling. Checked feet as well, and all seems good there as well. Suspecting the injury to be at the hip, I've put her in the iso suite in our mud room for tlc.
Main questions...
I am NO expert, I would have noticed an open fracture or otherwise glaring problem, but any exam suggestions are most appreciated.
What else can I do for her?
Should I provide a low perch in the kennel?
Thank you very much for any suggestions.

Really really hoping someone can give some sort of guidance. This is one of my friendliest hens but my husband is already pushing to harvest. I really want to help her.
I found some advice from @aart on another thread to take her out daily to guage progress and did that today. Frankly, she seems worse. She is attempting to put weight on the leg, but ends up supporting herself on her hock when she tries to take a step. The leg will sometimes slip entirely forward straight out in front of her. I got no reaction again today feeling around the hip, thigh, and hock, but got a major reaction feeling around her foot. So I'm now thinking the issue is more in the foot, but there is no swelling, signs of trauma, or bumble foot. Her general instability yesterday was leading me to suspect the hip (and maybe that is still an issue) but something is certainly going on lower down as well.
Also, I could not get her to grasp my hand with that foot.
I am planning to trim the feathers on that foot tomorrow and give her a soak.

Really hoping someone with more experience can give me advice.

I'm sorry about your pullet.

Can you get photos?
You mention she has a major reaction when you feel around the foot. Could she have broken a toe?
Thank you so much for responding.
I've dealt with a broken toe before and saw comparatively little in the way of mobility issues. This girl really doesn't even want to stand unless coaxed, and she flops about pitifully. Today I watched her try to pivot, get her legs crossed, and flop over. Its heartbreaking.
I will get photos tomorrow after I trim the feathers, and try to get a video of her "walking"
Is an Epsom salt soak a good idea, or would that cause/exacerbate inflammation?
She is eating, but with far less zeal than she should.

Here she is this afternoon. Apologies for the shaky camera.

I trimmed the affected foot and didn't find much, maybe a little swelling. She didn't seem to mind having that foot handled, but I was very gentle. Oddly, she did react painfully when the other leg was handled. I'm at a loss.
Images included below with a shot of the bottom/back and the little sore that's already forming on her hock.

Pretty little girl!
She's sure struggling.

I'm not sure what's going on with her, if it's injury, Marek's (she's at the right age) or ???

I don't really see any concerning in the photos, as far as, injury or swelling.
Try vitamin therapy (1/4 tablet B-Complex daily) and giving her TLC as @dawg53 described in his link.

She is definitely getting a sore on her joint from walking and/or laying on it. You can help relieve some of that pressure by placing her in a sling for monitored periods of time throughout the day.

I hope she starts to improve. It's heartbreaking to watch.
