bad luck with shipped eggs

Mine didn't arrived marked fragile or hatching eggs.. seller had them wrapped in paper towels. out of like 13 eggs two have made it to lockdown.. so potentially 2 out of 13 if they hatch they will be $12.50 chickens.. lol.. luckily I found a local seller of hatching eggs so my next attempt will be a local one. my earlier eBay attempt of hatched eggs were duck eggs 12 to start out with 9 made it to lockdown, four to pip, and one died during hatching but my three remaining ducks are super healthy..

Yeah it happens a lot just read their reviews from any sites you buy from. Ask them what is the ratio roo to hen 1:4 is fine better fertile rate. No more than 3 days out for ship longer the rate drops on hatching it seems. Well good luck on local ones.

Might help you get them as close as possible to prevent an egg toss by shipping employees .

I do know that all those postal workers get good paychecks. May be if we all stopped paying those rediculus shipping fees to pay these workers. To purposely mess eggs up. They might start putting some care into it. And about the x-ray do you think it destroys the live embryo.
