BAD MEAT _help

Hey don't knock GREEN TENDERS - I bet McDonalds is ON TOP of it - they'll bring out pink and blue ones too!

So if you come across one of those 'green tenders' you can just remove it and eat the rest of the bird?

Thanks for all the helpful info and links. But I have to say that if I wont eat it I sure wouldn't give it to the dogs, cats or wild life.
We had talked about that but was afraid that IF it was bad I wouldn't want to be guilty of poisioning my animals! plus pay vet bills.
It was a $5.00 chicken and wasnt worth the risk in my way of thinking..
Thanks again!

I think maybe what you saw was a bruise. That can cause the meat to look greenish, but it's really harmless. I've seen that on a few birds that got wild in the holding cage when we butchered. A couple of times roos-in-waiting decided to fight, they had some bruising. Also on a bird that came loose from the line we hang them on to bleed out, that flopped around and went banging around under the truck, that one had some bruising.
