AND... my 7 yr old DD's school has a bunch of "School Spirit" fun "theme" days; today was "CRAZY HAIR DAY".... We have had her hairstyle planned for days: an elaborate and silly updo with ponytails, twists, and lots of BRIGHT PINK spray-on hair color.

Turned out adorable and WAY crazy.... Totally worth the effort....
Until I realized - on our way out the door - that "Crazy Hair Day" is NEXT Friday.... !!!!!

Sooooooooooooo..... Back inside for emergency hair washing and re-style!!! Poor kiddo had to be driven in with a "tardiness" note & wet hair.. She's such a sweet girl; told me "It's ok Mommy, these things happen and I'm sure you're not the only one!"

I told her she has a heart of gold, but I'm pretty sure that not many Moms in the school district have a "hot pink" bathtub, kid, and hands, this morning....

It should be illegal for me to do ANYTHING in the morning if I am out of coffee...

At least she has a good sense of humor ... I did similar last year thought it was Jammie day sent my 6 yr to school only to geta call 20 minutes after schools started asking me to bring him some clothes....

Oh how funny. I've had mornings like that too. Your DD sounds like she has a good attitude. Hope she keeps that as she gets older. Mine can't stand to be late (15 yo). She needs that morning social time before school. You'll have to take a pic NEXT Friday. Hope your day goes better from here out.

No, because their hands and tub are green or maybe purple!!!!

Trust me, we ALL do these things and especially when suffering from coffee deprivation!!!! You are NOT alone!!!

Thanks, all...!! Am actually new to the "Stay At Home Mom" thing...

I wish I could remember the movie, it was a "Mr. Mom" type of comedy... Anyway, there was a scene of him dropping off his kid at school, but "got it wrong" and had bus drivers, soccer Moms, crossing guards all honking and yelling & shaking their fists at him "Drop off from the RIGHT, pick up from the LEFT!!!!!", while the poor guy cowered behind the steering wheel, apologizing over & over...

It kinda feels like THAT sometimes...

It could have been worse. At least you took her back in and washed it out...I would have sent them to school like that anyways...my son went today with a blue mohawk
