Bad Poodle! Need Advice on Attacked Bird.

Well, now she's eating scrambled egg and oatmeal from my kid's hand, but nothing straight from the bowl. And this is NOT a bird who would usually want to eat from anyone's hand. She's pretty wild, and a good forager.

And guess what?! After all that, with about twenty percent of her feathers ripped off and flesh like raw meat (well, I guess it IS raw meat) the amazing Lucy just laid a beautiful, dark green, and unusually large, egg. Neatly, upon the purple towel in her crate.

What a good bird.

What do you all think of putting Lucy out tomorrow, with a little wool cape/sweater . . . .it's going to be below twenty tonight, but tomorrow night more like 35. After that, hovering in the low twenties for a while, so I wondered if I should take the opportunity to move her out on the warmest night.

I havent ever had a bird losing a substantial amt of feahters like this. A couple of friends are telling me she needs to stay inside all winter. Huh?

What do people think?
