I just wanted to add that comb grabbing and feathers on back of neck grabbing are normal for roosters mounting. How else is he supposed to stay up on the hens back without falling off? (However- yes, attacking people is definitely unacceptable.)

At his age I suggest a good 12-24hr soaking in buttermilk then a good coating of batter before going into the fryer. Soup would be a waste of good meat.
