The coop is back on the ground, the RIGHT way this time! Mr. Hunt and his friend managed to flip it and slide it back into the spot it was before, and then they sunk some rebar poles into the ground and wired the coop to them. He said if there was another storm like the one that flipped my coop, my actual house could go flying, but that coop wasn't going to move! We moved Mystery and his ladies back out to their yard and they were sooooo happy. Mystery immediately started doing his wing dance, and the girls started acting all coy again. It was nice to see them acting like their normal selves. It's so cold out though, and I stood out in that cold for over an hour in a thin jacket, so I really need to warm up before I go out and take pictures. I'm numb to the bones! Or I may just send a kid out!
When I told them it was my older DD's birthday Mr. Hunt sang her happy birthday. Boy was she embarrassed! But she was happy to have the coop back where it belonged. Mystery and his ladies are her babies, and she wanted them to be happy again. All is good in Indiana again! THANK YOU Hereford, I can't begin to express my gratitude. You have taken a great weight off our shoulders. And you made some chickens VERY happy again!!!
I have never met Mr. hunt, but he sure has made me smile the two times i talked to him. He sang happy birthday -- what a wonderful spirit in a man. did you get the man's name that helped him?
