Bad storms, MY CHICKEN COOP FLIPPED UPSIDE DOWN!!!!! Happy Ending!!!

I e-mailed Mr. Hunt a thank you for helping us, and I expressed our gratitude for coming to help us, and he sent me back 3 simple words~ Glad to help! He is such a nice man, and so was his friend Ron. They came prepared and were able to flip the coop back over, despite the wind we had yesterday (not as bad as the day before, but still windy), and secure the posts in a way I had never seen before, but was quite impressed to watch. I'm thinking I should get some more of those posts and find a way to make a solid fence with them. The fence I have now is too flexible, and I could use some of those posts to make a fence the birds CAN'T hop over!

Today Mystery and his ladies were walking around happily in their chicken yard, content and no longer fearful of their coop. Plans are underway now to winterize the coop, something we wanted to do last year but didn't have the money to do. We plan to put up some removable acrylic panels to help reduce the wind, to cover their roosting pole (only thing we could find wide enough when we first installed a pole was a metal pole), and fill in the holes in the roof so it doesn't rain inside. The coop isn't leaky, but it's kind of hard to explain. The guy that originally built it for me used these four corragated metal panels that had pre-existing holes to drive screws through. When he mounted the panels to the wood frame, he didn't fill those holes in. It doesn't really rain inside the coop, but occasionally some water can drip in. We also want to see about putting in a concrete floor. I have to look into what would be the easiest way to do that, and the most affordable. I've never put down a concrete floor before, so it will be a learning experience! I wonder how mad my ladies will be with me when they can't dig a hole in the floor and lay their eggs? I wonder if they will finally use a nest box? I'm not holding my breath though!
