Badly injured Quail

I am glad they are doing ok, did you see the other birds attacking your quail when they got injured? don't you think that they got startled at night by the other birds moving around and fly straight up and injured their heads?

I had a small duck in the cage with them when it happened. However they were all in there together for quite a while before this incident, but I do think the duck was the culprit. I moved the duck outside of the cage with 2 other small ducks I recently hatched and 2 8-week old chicks. Now they are a big family that free ranges around the whole property!
