Badly split beak

Does anyone have any advice as far as how far up I should trim this I'm really concerned it's going to split more when I trim it with dog nails clippers I'm fearful it's going to split all the way up.

Trim it back to make the top even with the bottom beak. Try not to trim where the beak is pink. I got a feeling she will never have a normal beak and will require regular trims but she does look healthy and has adapted to her split-beak.
