I might have done something stupid. My husband had a pallet of garden soil bags in the shop. Today I put a cold frame in the chicken run, filled it with that soil and planted some seeds with the intention of removing cold frame and letting them eat the plants. BUT. afterwards I look at the ingredients and it has poultry manure. So did I just potentiallly introduce disease?

I'd be more worried about any fertilizers, perlite, etc that are mixed in.

Maybe it's my own paranoia but I'd remove the soil you added and just use whatever top soil you can dig up around the yard (or even some of the run litter, if you happen to do deep litter) for the chicken garden area instead.

It was organic and didnt have perlite or anything like that.
