Baked Mac and Cheese - A side dish?

Has anyone here made lobster mac & cheese? That's one I'd like to try.

Made it, no. Tried it yes.
Hit or miss depending on where you go.
My oldest says there is a place in Minneapolis,Minn. that absolutely mastered it.

Add diced ham and corn and a little jalapeño to make it a casserole then it's a real meal.

Never made it but I've eaten it many times on visits to Maine... Incredible stuff.

Off course my earlier reply got buried in seconds but we've always said that mac-n-cheese doesn't qualify as a main dish unless it has meat in it...

That sounds delicious. I do a lot of crabbing in season, and have made it with Dungeness crab. It was delicious but too rich to eat a lot of it for me.

Agree! Even when I was a kid and ate crap all the time, Velveeta was not palatable.

Velveeta can be used to make awesome cheese dip. We use the Velveeta Queso Blanco, Rotel, and Jimmy Dean's Hot Sausage.
